Reserve Checklists

Sample checklist structures and maintenance guides for households tracking retirement reserves on paper.

These outlines reflect formats we prepare during checklist sessions. They are starting points — your final document lists your actual institutions and balances.

01

Master reserve summary

One row per account: institution, product type, last verified balance, maturity or review date, and envelope colour code. Totals roll up by category at the bottom.

02

Quarterly verification column

A narrow column for initials and date each time you confirm balances against passbooks. Empty cells signal accounts overdue for review.

03

Emergency access sheet

Separate half-page listing only accounts you would draw from within 48 hours, with branch phone numbers written in large type. Stored beside the master checklist.

04

Maturity calendar strip

Twelve-month strip pasted inside a kitchen cabinet door. Fixed deposits marked in pencil until passbook confirms; confirmed dates traced in ink.

05

Beneficiary notation block

Space for names and relationship notes — reminders of who should receive which envelope if you become unable to manage records.
